I'm a Domme and here is the differences, what's incorporated and the meaning behind BDSM
Top - A Top is an individual that has the role of a Master/Mistress/Domme/Dominant in the BDSM Lifestyle. The only time one would use this term is if the individual was at an event, a munch or a party.
bottom - A bottom is an individual who has the role of a submissive, subrole or slave in the BDSM Lifestyle. The only time again one would use this term is like the above.
Mistress / Master - A Mistress/Master is a female/Male who gains 100% control from their partner, they own slaves and the slave has to obey the Mistress/Master at all times. The only time a safe word can be used is in an emergency and/or individual times that has been negociated together.
A M/s (Master/Mistress slave) relationship can happen on a weekend, a day or days of the individual's choice or full time. A full time relationship takes dedication and if a full time relationship is used with this type of relationship it can be hard for the slave in particular. I always advise individuals who are not expierenced with this length of relationship or play, to play the role for a few hours at a time or, on the weekend to gain that expierence, structure. stamina and resilence.
The reason a submissive/slave has a lower s to their name is because the submissive/slave is less superior to their Master or Mistress and Domme or Domiant. A submissive/slave should never in any circumstance use a capital s when communicating online.
Dominant / Domme - A Domme is a female who gains 50% control from their partner, they own submissive's and the submissive has 50% control meaning that they can be freely allowed to do what they prefer at chosen times of their Domme/Domiant and have their own individuality and freedom. They can use safe words at any point of their relationship.
A D/s (Dominant/Domme slave) relationship can happen on a weekend, a day or days of the individual's choice or full time, which is classed as a 24/7 Dynamic. A full time relationship is more doable in a D/s relationship as, I stated there is more freedom with both individuals. It isn't as strict or hardcore as a M/s relationship.
